Press Release Body: -- CHSG Partners, the North Carolina based limited liability corporation, in partnership with Dale Jarrett and Terry Bradshaw are pleased to announce the launch of the PayTheFan.com 2008 season-long online fantasy racing game. For the 2008 racing season, PayTheFan.com will be paying out more than $400,000 for 36 weeks of fantasy racing competition. Each week, fantasy players will have a chance to win $5,000, with cash prizes awarded to the top three finishers. For the season-long game, fantasy players will have a chance to win the $150,000 grand prize, with the top 20 finishers winning cash prizes.
"It's great to watch the races and the games as fans, but with PayTheFan.com, our players are really involved in the action," said Jarrett. "As we finish up our first year, I'm excited by how more and more fans are learning that our site is for real. And more importantly, the prize money is for real."
Kathleen Borgne, 40, of Tulsa, Okla., was PayTheFan.com's first racing winner. Borgne, a Senior Sales Manager with the Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau, was awarded her $150,000 check by Dale Jarrett, at a ceremony on December 4, at Dale Jarrett, Inc.'s corporate headquarters in Newton, N.C. PayTheFan.com will be paying its $250,000 fantasy football grand prize during a ceremony in Las Vegas later this month.
"PayTheFan.com started with a simple idea - fantasy sports that pays the fans like the pros," said John Hartman, president, CHSG Partners. "In 2007 we were just getting started. For 2008, it's time to keep awarding fans for their dedication, time and energy - it's time to "Pay the Fan."
PayTheFan.com launched in August 2007 offering season and weekly fantasy football games, in addition to the "Ten Race Chase" fantasy racing game, now the season-long game. The prize purse for the fantasy games at PayTheFan.com currently lead the industry at more than one million dollars in cash prizes awarded.
In addition to co-owners Jarrett and Bradshaw, CHSG has also signed race car driver, Elliott Sadler, as a Pay the Fan spokesperson. Jarrett, Bradshaw and Sadler offer insider tips and fantasy sports advice throughout the football and racing seasons at PayTheFan.com blog, http://blog.PayTheFan.com.
